Hazel is a young girl who still has puppy energy but can also enjoy lounging around and
cuddling. She has a wonderful disposition and warms up quickly to everyone she meets. Hazel
is very food motivated. She has quickly learned some basic commands such as Sit, Shake,
Down and working on others. She does well walking on a leash and enjoys exploring the
neighborhood.
While Hazel is a sweet lovable girl her size and energy may be too much for smaller children.
She would do well being an only dog or with doggy siblings. She has foster sisters that she
enjoys being around. Inserting herself into any position to get pets and affection from the
humans is priority number one. If you’re not paying attention you may just have a very large
puppy plop down on your lap with no warning.
Crate training has gone well. Hazel sleeps in her crate with no issues overnight. She currently
eats her meals in her crate. There have been a few occasions when another dog has come near
the crate when she was eating and she growled at them. She may need some reassurance that
she will always have a meal.
A family that is active and would take Hazel on some adventures or spend a rainy day cuddling
on the couch would be perfect for this amazing girl.
