This big guy is just as chill as they come! He will follow you around from room to room just to be near you, and then flop down on a bed or a rug wherever you settle down. Goose may be the easiest dog ever: he gets along with everyone (people and animals), doesn’t snatch food or counter-surf, doesn’t jump, rarely barks, hardly drools, and doesn’t chew on anything. He is very calm and phlegmatic – he doesn’t even squirm when you trim his toenails!
Goose hasn’t really had any official training, so he is pretty clueless when it comes to walking on a leash. He doesn’t yank or lunge, but he doesn’t know how to stay on one side of you. And this is definitely not the dog to get if you want to play fetch. He will politely accept a ball or chew toy if you hand it to him, and then go drop it a few feet away.
The one thing Goose really dislikes is being left alone in a room with no people. If you close the door on him (to take a shower, perhaps, or to converse with the mailman) he will nudge the door with his nose and whine a bit. He is very compliant with going into his crate, but he also does not particularly need to be crated.
Goose would thrive in a home where someone would be home with him most of the day. He would be fine with or without other pets; his future family should know that he loves to nap, and plan to have multiple beds or cushions or sofas available to him wherever people gather in the home.
