Zuna is a typical young Dane, a bit clumsy, very curious and uses her mouth to explore the world around her. She needs to grow into her large paws and gangly frame. She is very laid back and super smart. She is a blank slate and just needs someone to continue with her training. Her former owners did not invest a lot of time in her, she spent a lot of time in a crate and did not learn the basics in training or manners. She is a very quick learner, loves to be praised and enjoys pets and affection.
She is working on potty training and has caught on quickly, but she does have an occasional accident. She is crate trained and is able to be left alone in her crate for up to 6 hours. Like a toddler she hears “NO” alot, and is beginning to learn the meaning of that word. We are focusing on learning the “big” ticket items such as not to counter surf. She does like to get on the furniture, but we are picking are battles.
She is good with other dogs, but needs to learn boundaries, she gets a little overstimulated and doesn’t know when to stop playing. Zuna does not have any aggressive tendencies.
She is a beautiful girl and will make someone a wonderful companion with love and consistent training. She would be fine with other dogs or as an only dog. She would be fine with children, but she is unaware of her size.
