Hi, I’m Sophie!
My previous family had to give me up, which is how I ended up as an emergency foster with my foster dad (Ross) in Cincinnati.I recently celebrated my 1 year birthday! I am a lovely blend of puppy and adolescent. I still showcase my puppy energy and wonder about the world, but I have also become quite well-trained and behaved. Dad expects a lot from me, so I am house-broken and crate trained, good in the car, know basic commands, and do much better on my daily, long walk with my gentle leader leash. I have many toys and love my stuffed animals the most. I occasionally chew on something Ross doesn’t want me to when he’s not looking, but I’m getting better at that, too. I’m not very vocal, although I do plenty of talking with my many sassy “looks.”At this point, I require a lot of exercise. I need a long walk every day to be on my best behavior, and I would thrive with other dogs in the house. I am a morning pup and wake up roaring to take on the world! Ross brings me to visit his parents a lot, and I love playing ALL DAY with their tenacious bulldog. I light up when I see other dogs, so I would thrive in a house with other dogs or regularly visit a doggie daycare or dog park. Ross lives in the city, so I experience a lot of noise, people, and action, and I am now doing quite well. I don’t like being left alone, but I do pretty well when Ross has to go. After my walks, I love naps, cuddles, and covering up in blankets. I can be hesitant with strangers, but I warm to them quickly. His friends “ooh and aww” at me, but Ross covers my ears and tells me not to get a big head. That says he tells me I will be an excellent dog (though I already think I am). I’m goofy, fun, and a princess. I love attention and company and give plenty of kisses. I have a big personality that will keep you laughing. For example, when it gets dark, I tell Ross it’s time to go to bed so he can tuck me in. Gotta get my beauty sleep! I am finishing up all of my shots and getting spayed, but I am in excellent health overall.If you have any questions, email us, and they’ll have Ross get you an answer.
