Maple is a sweet girl who had a very rough start to her life. She was the smallest of 13 born in a kennel. She struggled to survive but her willpower is very strong. We were told by the breeder that she had trouble standing and holding her head up. They said she was delayed behind the other pups. We received her at 14 weeks of age. At that point she appeared to be a normal puppy. She doesn’t not physically show any signs of not being normal but she is a little slow with learning certain things. She is delayed on potty training, we think from spending so much time in a kennel setting. A breeding kennel, not a crate. She understands but is stubborn and needs consistency. She does know how to sit and is crate trained but if left too long she will have accidents.
People may ask about her right eye. She has a white third eye lid. This does not effect her vision. It just looks slightly different than the left which has a black third eyelid.
She has grown up to a beautiful young lady. She plays hard with the other Danes in the home and loves to pick on the cats but has learned they have sharp claws. She is very food motivated and would love someone willing to spending time with her to keep the training consistent. Her foster mom thinks she would do best with another dog in the home to play with and help her stay on track with training. Is Maple for you?
