Derek is a sweet boy. He’s a lover and playful, but more laid back than his curious and busier sister. He’s a bit more timid, but not backward, as he has met many dogs and people in the last few weeks and has come out of his shell. He is nervous at first in new places, but becomes comfortable quickly when he learns it is safe. Very much a lovebug, he will snuggle you as much as possible. Just like his littermates, he came jumping up and down in excitement to get food or treats or attention, but he’s learned to offer a sit for things very well (but will still hop around when he’s super excited). Derek would do well with a dog sibling or two as he does well with following another dog with more confidence, but it’s not necessary. He is a very good traveler in the car, as he goes to work daily with his foster person.
