Hi All,
George here, but for some reason when I get the zoomies in the house my foster dad just yells “Jetsoooonnnn”. Evidently it’s a cartoon that he says we can watch this weekend while I recover from my surgery (the routine one all boys dogs go through). Let’s go back and talk about zoomies, those are fun. When foster dad has to go to work I go in a crate, I don’t mind, I usually just nap, but when foster humans come home and I get out I definitely have some steam to blow off, my tail has knocked a few things off shelves on my way to the back door. I have a fenced in yard here which is nice. I’m good on a leash too, but to get all the energy out a couple laps around the backyard are just perfect. Sometimes foster dad will go out and chase me and that’s fun too.
There’s 2 other dogs that live here too, one is old lady and I’ll nuzzle her to say hi and if shes cold she’ll lay nearby to use me as her personal heat source. The other dog is a crazy Frenchie he runs and attacks me outside and we play a little so foster dad says I’m good with other dogs. I also met the neighbor girl, she’s 8 and likes to chase me too so we get along, the only thing with kids is to at I have zero concept of my size or space so if you have little kids you definitely need to keep an eye on us. I’m not aggressive just lots of energy and could totally bowl them over when playing.
Foster dad also says I should mention my bark, it’s deep and loud and I’m protective of my house. I bark at people walking by outside, and when new people come in the house I usually bark and growl till my foster dad tells me it’s okay(it’s not the teeth baring attack growl, just a “hey, you better know I’m here kinda growl). After introductions I’m good and just have another friend to play with. I’m sure if you had a crazy house with people in and out all the time I’d eventually just not care, but would take time and repetition to get there, for now foster dad just keeps saying he’s gonna cancel his ADT till I’m adopted.
All in all foster dad says I’m a pretty typical 4yr old Dane…..I think that’s it, but if you’re interested and need more info my foster dad will talk your ear off about me.
