Bruno was saved by a wonderful non profit called ChainFreeKnoxville in Tennessee. This organization goes around Knoxville building pens for dogs stuck on chains. He was adopted from a shelter as a baby. The shelter had labeled him as a hound mix and 5 months. He was a big 2 month old Dane puppy with floppy ears. He was in a house for 3 months before being thrown away to another house outside in a tiny pen 24/7.

Bruno is a sweet wonderful puppy who just wants love. When he arrived, he was covered in fly bites on top of fly bites. The areas where he had been bit so many times were swollen and bare. He also had the beginnings of HOD from poor nutrition. That is correcting itself now that he is on good food and supplements. Because of the poor nutrition his longer faded brownish hair had not fallen out from the winter. That is falling out in handfuls. He has been in rescue for only 2 weeks and is improving daily. He is crate trained, house trained, and he knows sit. He is great with other dogs but is a rough player like most Dane puppies. He is good with the foster home cats but does like to chase them once in a while. The cats are used to training Danes in the foster home and has told him no a few times. Bruno has some medical conditions that need addressed before he is adopted. If you would like to help with his medical costs please donate by clicking the “give” tab. You can also send $ directly to the vet listed on the “give” page.
