Apollo is a loving and intelligent dog who loves to be by your side but also enjoys hanging with other dogs. Once he warms up to you Apollo enjoys kisses and hugs and is always willing to shake your hand for a treat. When he first came to the rescue, he was a bit timid to strangers but after the first day he seemed to relax more and by the third day he seemed like one of the family. This beautiful boy would do best in a home without small kids due to his tendency to become quite rambouceous and vocal(barking) when overly excited. He is afraid of loud noises and will try to bite the vacuum cleaner if it gets too close. He is very frightened of indoor stairways. Foster home has worked with him but, he has yet to have conquered this fear.

He shows no signs of aggression towards people, other dogs or cats.   He does very well on the leash with minimal pulling and tends to let you lead despite other distractions which is a good trait.  He loves car rides and behaves very well in the car.  He likes munching on a bone or playing tug o war.  Apollo enjoys relaxing in his crate but, loves snuggling with his humans and dog siblings the most.  He has not exhibited any destructive behavior but, will counter surf if given the opportunity. Per his previous owner, he did have some food allergies that caused some skin breakouts. Currently its being controlled by his diet.   It was also communicated from previous owner that he exhibited  guarding behavior. Foster home has not seen any such behavior whatsoever.  Words are not enough to describe how beautiful this boy is inside and out and would quickly become a cherished member of any family.
